Sixth Form Trip Week

Before half-term, our Sixth Form pupils at South Thames College had a week of trips out into the community. With many of the trips accessed by public transport it was an opportunity to work on travel skills as well as enjoying time out of the classroom.

Learners took the journey down to Brighton to visit the seaside. Here they enjoyed fish and chips by the sea and spending time on the beach and the famous pier.

Kew Gardens

A shorter commute this time to Kew Gardens where they walked around the beautiful gardens taking in the different sights and smells of the plants whilst learning about the various species.

Science Museum

Here learners spent time engaging with the interactive displays throughout the museum, learning about their bodies and artificial intelligence.

The zoo

Finally, pupils enjoyed a trip to the zoo where they had the chance to see the different animals and find out more about their habitats and diets.

A brilliant way to round off another busy and productive half-term for the learners.
